Jérémy Collot is a French Designer. After obtaining a PhD in Humanities (Philosophy, Literature, Arts) he then decided to use his hands and creativity for a living: he became a blacksmith and a traditional knifemaker. Forging steel, carving wood, drawing skectches, and thinking more and more about Design… He particularly likes bamboo which he used for example in his new chopsticks project. These chopsticks are simple and pure. There is neither glue, nor mechanism : only a bead in natural material (wood, stone, shell…), thread and bamboo. What makes them interesting is the wonderful and supple bamboo and their natural design. Another aspect that makes these chopsticks different from other chopsticks is that you can customize them in various ways: the color of the thread, the base in ceramic, wood or steel, the types of beads, and the ring to keep them closed.
Unconditional fan of gastronomy, he now works with renown chefs to design knives (he made knives for Noma and René Redzépi for example) and other kitchen utensils. Jérémy now belongs to the Collège Culinaire de France.
