“Senses exist everywhere, especially in those small simple acts of each day. It just make sense!
Nowadays, with the hectic rhythm of humans, small things are forgotten. To be more specific: the PLEASURE of small things. Anyway, life without pleasure is dull like a lemon without a zest! Design comes as an innovation process to explore in every field, searching for new ways to look at things and to create new solutions that respond to a matter and BEST when it involves the five senses. Awakening people senses through designing events that help them communicate with a product, service or even to highlight on a cause, is such an exciting mission! Coming from an interior architecture background, dipped in a food design discipline from Brussels royal art academy, the sensorial design starts from an external space to finish in an internal space, inviting people to interact, explore with their senses, enjoy, have fun and learn. One of the biggest inspiration is the art of Theatre, as the table concept which can be called a platform, turn to more than a “ palette “ of taste , where food becomes a story, a culture, a texture, a sound, a color, an odor, a touch, a shape, a container, a contenant. The result of such a combination gives birth to unique food spectacles. Arriving to Lebanon in 2014 was a decision to find a way to implement that design
process in my country. It was not easy, because it needed a completely new
education about the subject. Taste education.
We are what we eat.”
