Joe Colombo
Joe Cesare Colombo (1930-1971) was an Italian industrial designer. In the Food Design world he is very famous for producing, in 1964, one of the first products of Design For Food that really brings together form, function and creativity: the Smoke glass. Since he was an inveterate smoker himself, it was quite easy for him to design this particular glass. Thanks to the balance between the forefinger and the thumb it is possible to hold both the glass and a cigarette with the same hand.
